A Matter of Faith

Gospel reading of the day invites us to know what we are and how we live. We read the story of the centurion who had great faith in Jesus, that would heal his servant. Centurion was so aware of the tradition that he never wanted to defile Jesus by asking him to visit his house. Admiring his concern and faith Jesus grants him his request.

Jesus invites us to have faith in our prayer and also to be concerned about our workers. Centurion was very concerned about his servant, so also we need to be attentive towards the needs of our domestic workers. Our world is not perfect but we do have the option to change, and that change can begin through us.

We are called to be in action to spread love and to lend a helping hand. And thus as long as we live we live glorifying God’s name on the earth and let perpetual light shine upon them. May they rest in peace.
