Readings: Jer 20: 10-13; Jn 10: 31-42

Today’s readings invite us to proclaim truth and celebrate victory through God’s faithfulness. Prophet Jeremiah, in the first reading, expresses deep sorrow and distress amidst opposition and persecution.

Despite his unwavering commitment to delivering God’s message, he faces rejection and mockery. He laments hardships endured for speaking the truth, but finds solace in God’s comforting presence, trusting in his steadfast love. Amid adversity, Jeremiah finds hope in God’s promise of deliverance from enemies. In the gospel, Jesus encounters hostility and rejection from religious leaders who deny his identity as the Son of God.

Despite performing miracles and revealing his divine nature, he faces scepticism and opposition. Yet, Jesus remains steadfast, affirming unity with the father and urging belief in him as the promised Messiah. His unwavering confidence demonstrates trust in father’s plan and willingness to endure suffering for salvation. Both Jeremiah and Jesus endured rejection and persecution for proclaiming God’s message yet remained faithful. Their lives inspire perseverance amid adversity, trusting in God’s faithfulness for justice and redemption.
