Time to Introspect is Now

The Gospel reading asks us to look around and inside us. Jesus acted according to the signs of the time. He saw what was happening in society during his time. As a follower of Christ, we all are invited to do so. We are invited to read the signs of the time. In this present era, many things are happening in society and our communities.

So, Jesus is inviting us to open our eyes and see within and without. Yes, it is challenging to respond to the present signs of the time; however, we need to strive to stand for the truth and justice for the needy. Most of the times the signs are violent, painful, and tragic. We have faced people who came to us hoping for solutions for their problems.

However, we often failed to respond to them. We failed to solve their problems in a just or proper way.

So, today Jesus reminds each one of us to introspect and ask ourselves, Am I doing the right things to people who need our help? We need to be attentive and mindful of the people who need support and encouragement in their lives. May God give us the grace to respond to the needy in our society. May we have the right manner to respond to the afflicted ones in our community and society.
