Readings: Ex 32: 7-14; Jn 5: 31-47

Human mind is like a monkey, it jumps from one thought to the other, one promise to another. The gospel of the day invites me to be strong in my convictions. One gets firm in his decisions and
in his beliefsthrough life’s experiences. The more we know about a thing, person, or place, the more convinced we get in trusting them. As a person following the teachings of Christ and as his
disciple, my relationship with him will make me strong in my beliefs.

The knowledge of him and his word will give me a sure foundation to testify for him or to stand on behalf of his people. The reading challenges me to reflect upon my relationship with the Lord. The relationship has to be experienced and expressed in my relationship with my companions whom I live with, with my family members, with the people who are close and far from me, or with people entrusted to me in my workplace, study circle etc.

Prayer, fasting, and other spiritual practices will allow us to come closer to him. The stronger we build our relationships, we can develop the values of love, care, concern etc. for them and
through them, to our Lord Jesus.
