Experience of life differs from person to person and time to time according to the situation. If I have to describe who Jesus is for me at this moment, I may give an answer which might be completely different from the answer that I give another time. All the four gospels picture Jesus differently based on the situation; some time teacher, compassionate, servant, exorcist, revolutionary and so on. Today’s gospel pictures Jesus as a great healer, touching whose fringe of cloak can heal the people who come with faith.

Today at this present time, we have the best medicine and hospitals for almost all the sickness if not for everything. However, there is a lot of news about people who spend a lot of money and still do not benefit. In spite of a lot of hospitals and clinics still there are a lot of people who do not get good medical care and there are many who lose their lives due to some simple sickness.

Through his gospel Mark gives an assurance that regardless of any kind of sickness that we might have, all that we need to do is to approach Jesus with faith and our sickness would be healed. It is not only the physical sickness but all the challenges that we might go through in our lives, be it conflict among friends, misunderstanding in the communities or any kind of personal problems. As the season of lent is approaching we shall look at our lives and see the limitations and offer them to the Lord. He will bless all of us and make us complete in his sight.
