Pune: The Conference of Catholic Bishops of India (CCBI) Commission for Theology & Doctrine has announced a webinar on the topic: “Current Trends and Future Tasks of Christian Theology of Asia: In Celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Foundation of the FABC” by internationally renowned theologian, Prof. Dr. Peter C. Phan, on Friday, July 2, 2021, from 6.00 pm to 7.30 pm.
Prof. Peter C. Phan, currently lecturing at Georgetown University, USA, earned three doctorates, was awarded four honorary doctorates, has written 30 books and over 300 articles which have been translated into Arabic, French, German, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Serbian, Spanish, Chinese, Indonesian, Japanese, and Vietnamese.
In his lecture, in the light of the Golden Jubilee Celebrations of the Federation of Asian Bishops’ Conferences (FABC), Prof. Phan will identify Asian contextual challenges, provide guidelines for action, and show how Pope Francis is a leading light in this process of conversion and change.
