God Has Entrusted us With Different Gifts

We know that the second coming of the Son of Man will be like a thief. As Christians, we have an eagerness to see Jesus when he comes to the earth for the second time. This is like a surprise gift given to us at an unexpected time and date. So, we have to prepare ourselves to receive our master Lord Jesus into our life because we do not know when he comes. Jesus gives an invitation to us to repent and go to him as his faithful servants. He is very patient and teaches moral values to us to live a meaningful life.

In today’s gospel reading Jesus says that from everyone to whom much has been given much will be demanded. We have received many things from God like talents, blessings, and vocation. He chose us from among many to follow him, to be with him and to do his mission. He called each of us through baptism to lead others because we responded to his call.

He has given more to us, so he expects more from us. Through our talents, we help the others to go closer to God. If we hide and keep our talents within, then it does not stay with us but goes away from us. God gave us a life to live meaningfully, and he entrusted us with different gifts to do good for humanity. We are invited to live our lives as examples in following Christ.
