Bengaluru: St. Anthony’s church in Bettada Halasuru in Kananakapura Taluk near Bengaluru hosted the installation of it’s new parish priest Fr. Christopher White on July 21. Catholics and local residents participated in the Holy Eucharistic celebration presided by the Archbishop Rev. Dr. Peter Machado.
St. Anthony’s church in Betadda Halsuru has for decades been a hub of devotees to St. Anthony from Bangalore Archdiocese and beyond.
Fr. Christopher White served as assistant financial administrator of the Archdiocese of Bangalore. The Prelate spoke of unity of purpose in working together with their new pastor in building up the ‘spiritual progress of the parish’.
Fr. Christopher took charge from his predecessor Fr. Nirmal. The Archbishop was warmly greeted by parishioners in a procession that preceded the Eucharistic celebration.
Frs. Patrick Pinto, Maria Louis, Fr. Adolf Washington joined the celebration. A pathway for penance and veneration of the cross was Blessed open.
