Cling on to God Who’s Your Strength

By Richardson P csc –

Readings: Eph 4:1-6; Lk 12:54-59

The readings of the day invite me to lead my life faithfully and judge what is right for me in my daily living. Jesus encourages me to examine my inner self constantly and live in the present time rightly. God the creator has created me in his image and likeness to resemble him in every way.

Through the gospel, Jesus invites me to allow God’s Spirit to speak in my sense of right and wrong and understand God’s every single way in life. By his Spirit, support and guidance, God inspires and enables me to live my day meaningfully. In the first reading, St. Paul, as the prisoner in the Lord, advises me to live the life of a holy and worthy person.

God, the source and the author of everything, has given me the gift of a vocation to accomplish his plan through me. As a radical follower and a worthy disciple of Christ, when I commit myself with faith, God grants me the reward for the work I do for him. As a child of God, when I begin to resemble him in all aspects of life, God sanctifies others through my word and actions. For this, I need to always cling on to God, the strength and judge of life.
