Bring Jesus to People

By Jijo Philip, CSC –

Readings: Is 7:10-14; Lk 1:26-38

As we are drawing closer to the celebration of the birth of Jesus the Son of God, the readings of the day invite us to be a favored one in the eyes of God. When Mary was able to find favor in the sight of God, she was able to bring Jesus to this world.

Today we are invited to find favor in the sight of God in order to have a worthy celebration of this Christmas. Mother Mary becomes an example for us to follow the footprints of Jesus. Her whole life is a message that if we as a human can live a holy life with our own limitations and doubts, and we will be able to find favor in the eyes of God.

We will be able to bring Jesus to this world through our very way of life. Thus, our celebration of this Christmas will become a meaningful one for me as individual as well as for the whole society I live in.
