Bengaluru: Last week, Archbishop Dr. Peter Machado of Bengaluru reached out to renowned Acharya Mahashraman (who is the eleventh Acharya, supreme head of Jain Śvētāmbara Terapanth sect). Mahashramanji heads all activities functioning under Terapanth, most notably Anuvrat, Preksha Meditation, Jeevan Vigyan (Science of Living).

“Acharya’s life is amazing and it is a great challenge and inspiration to all who meet him. His value-based life is remarkable and is worth imbibing,” observed Dr Machado.

The Archbishop invited Acharya Mahashraman to join hands to build a different world which is “One but many: One family, many races; One truth, many paths; One heart, many complexions; One light, many reflections; One world, many imperfections. All amalgamated into One. We are all one, but many. It is possible to work together in unity in diversity for a different society, Archbishop added.

Prominent personalities who were part of this gathering,  held recently, (on August 9), were Babulal Powal – State Executive Committee member of Karnataka BJP; Fr. Edward Thomas SDB, Dream India Network advisor and mentor; and Dr. Roma S. Francis, Naturopath, besides others.

“The meeting was very interesting and enriching,” said Rev. Edward, a Salesian priest who was the force behind in organizing such a meeting. The Archbishop made very pertinent and relevant appraisal of Acharya Mahashramanji particularly about his complete renunciation, hard work, life style in today’s techno-centric world.

During this meeting, the Archbishop of Bengaluru appreciated Fr. Edward for the good works done through Dream India and foster homes.
