Readings: Rev 14: 1-3, 4-5; Lk 21:1-4

In today’s gospel reading we see Jesus closely observing people who brought their offering to the temple treasury. All of them offered including a poor widow. And Jesus has a special eye on her and found in her more worthy of offering.

According to her capacity, She gave what she was supposed to give to God. It’s a very practical event that I found from the poor. They are by nature simple and humble. Their expectation from others is limited and when they can offer something to the needy or neighbors for their needs, they find contentment and satisfaction in helping.

Therefore, the life of a poor woman set me an example to be generous in giving, caring, loving, understanding and responding to the needs of my brothers and sisters.

So, Today Jesus invites me to be joyful in simplicity and humility. He invites me to surrender everything to God. He gives me hope that I need not worry about what people would say about me when I do the will of God. so, I need to place God first in my life. I need to strengthen my faith in God. Therefore, trusting in the divine need to be cultivated in my life so that I will experience the joy of giving, loving, and generous towards people in need.
