Arunachal: Enlightening Day of Learning and Spirituality for Catechists at Mio Diocese

Arunachal Pradesh: On a day filled with prayer, knowledge sharing, and spiritual growth, 21 catechists from different villages of the Parish came together for a day of Catechists Training Programme at St. Padre Pio Parish Lawnu, Miao Dioceseo on Saturday, September 30th. . The event, organized with precision and devotion, aimed to equip catechists with valuable insights and tools to enhance their role in nurturing the faith of their community members on the Sacraments of Confession and Holy Eucharist.

The programme commenced with a prayer led by Mr. Wangjen Wangtam, setting the spiritual tone for the day. Shri Nokkai extended a warm welcome to the attendees, emphasizing the significance of their mission.

The highlight of the morning was the inaugural speech delivered by Rev Fr Ajit Kerketta. Rev Fr Kerketta’s inspiring words underscored the importance of the Sacraments of Eucharist and Confession in the modern world and encouraged the participants to approach their duties with zeal and devotion.

The training programme continued with a session on Confession led by Rev Fr Blasius Tete SDB. Rev Fr Blasius’ insights into the sacrament of Confession provided valuable guidance for catechists in helping their parishioners seek spiritual renewal through this Sacrament.

After a brief break, the participants reconvened for a session on the Eucharist, once again led by Rev Fr Blasius SDB. This session deepened their understanding of this sacred Sacrament, reinforcing the importance of the Eucharist in Catholic doctrine.

The day progressed with a workshop and discussion providing catechists with a platform to share their experiences and ideas, fostering a sense of community and collaboration among the attendees.

The afternoon began with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks delivered by Shri Joseph Arangham at 1:30 pm, expressing gratitude to all the participants, organizers, and speakers who contributed to the success of the programme.

A well-deserved lunch break at 1:45 pm provided an opportunity for the catechists to socialize and recharge before their departure, carrying with them newfound knowledge and inspiration.

The Catechists Training Programme was a resounding success, enriching the spirits and minds of those in attendance. As these dedicated individuals return to their communities, they carry with them the tools and motivation to continue their vital mission of nurturing the faith of the faithful
