APCA Foundation Day stresses Corruption-Free Arunachal

Miao: The Arunachal Pradesh Catholic Association celebrated its ninth Foundation Day across the state with stress on corruption free Arunachal on Sunday.

The Arunachal Pradesh Catholic Association (APCA) an association of Catholic leaders in the state celebrated its ninth foundation day with the theme “corruption-free Arunachal” in every district with festive gaiety and religious fervor.

The Changlang District Unit of APCA had its celebrations at Sacred Heart Church Neotan in which Mr. Mungtang Mossang, the APCA president of east Arunachal Pradesh and all the office-bearers of Changlang District were present with Most Rev. Dennis Panipitchai, the Auxiliary Bishop of Miao Diocese.

Speaking on the occasion, the President, Mr. Mossang, highlighted the important role APCA has played in spreading awareness among the people on the result corruption in the state. “As we approach election, the APCA wants everyone in the state to be aware of the existing corruption. The dismal education scenario, poor healthcare situation, pathetic road conditions are all a clear examples of large scale corruption in the state over the years”, he said. He also advised the people against selling their valuable votes for a few rupees. “Selling your vote is the root cause of all the problems in the state,” he added.

Most Rev. George Pallipparambil, the Bishop of Miao Diocese, joined Papum Pare District celebrations at St. Mary’s Church Auditorium, Itanagr and blessed the congregations and advised them to choose the right leaders.

APCA held similar celebrations at Namsai, Tirap, and Longding districts of east Arunachal Pradesh and Kurung Kumey, East Siang, Kra Dadi districts in the west to spread awareness among the people to create a corruption free Arunachal to celebrate its ninth Foundation Day.
