The liturgy of the day invites us to be prayerful and be one with Jesus. We may have many problems and struggles in our life. When we suffer, we need to spend more time in prayer. Prayer is a tool which connects us to Jesus. He is the person who leads us to God and helps us to live in holiness. Jesus is the mediator between God and human. He is merciful to everyone, particularly to sinners. When we spend more time with him in prayer, we get the courage and confidence to live our life happily and meaningfully.
In the first reading, we see God telling the people about the new creation of heaven and earth in the book of Isaiah. The new creation is nothing but Christ himself. In him we have life, and in him we have salvation. When we stand along with Christ in faith, we will experience joy and happiness in our life. So, let us believe in him and stay connected to him through prayer. Our prayer life should not be shaken by the worldly things, but it should help us to be with the Lord. It is our duty to make use of them to deepen our faith. So, let us be one with Christ, because he will protect and guide us and lead us to eternal life.
The gospel reading invites us to be connected to him in prayer by believing in him. We should never wait for the miracles of Jesus to happen in our life to believe in the Lord. But we should be able to believe in him because of our personal experience with him.
In the Gospel, the people of Galilee believed in him after the miraculous act of Jesus. But Jesus invites them to always believe in him. It is an invitation for all of us to believe in him and be one with him.
