The book of Exodus speaks about the guiding hand of God to the people of Israel through his servant Moses. In the gospel reading, we see Jesus denouncing the cities of Chorazin and Bethsaida for refusing to believe in the name of Jesus despite the miracles and wonders he has done to them.
God chooses and prepares leaders to lead his people. When God prepares them for the mission, he makes sure that they are equipped for the task. He never abandons them, instead, he is there to guide them in their life journey.
Even to this day, he continues to choose and prepare his people to be leaders. If we do not see and believe in God’s guiding hand of God, we would be behaving like the people of the two cities Chorazin and Bethsaida.
