
Bengaluru: Mount Carmel School, Mariapura, under the guidance of Sr Nakshatra, the principal and MCC Sisters and the dedicated teaching and non-teaching staff, organized a meaningful Environmental Day celebration to spread awareness about environmental conservation.
As part of the event, students and staff actively participated in a march through Mariapura village, raising awareness among the local community about the importance of protecting the environment. The initiative included a special cleanliness drive at the village church campus, where participants cleaned the premises to promote hygiene and civic responsibility.
The event was themed “Beat Plastic Pollution”, aligning with global efforts to combat the harmful effects of plastic waste. During the program, all participants took a pledge to reduce the use of plastic in their daily lives and work toward a plastic-free future.
